A while back I heard about this project by Nigel Godrich that would focus on intimate, live performances by musicians that wouldn’t have a host or live audience … Needless to say I was very intrigued and highly anticipated this project … at first the performances were only to be available for viewing online … when they realized that it wouldn’t make enough money to produce the quality they desired, so they approached some international TV networks … It then became an internet only download of episodes and eventually made it onto television …
I think they did an excellent job of capturing performances of some of my favorite musicians … it’s nice to see performance take the stage and make the entire process less formal … the quality of the video and performances is pretty top notch and I encourage everyone to visit the site and watch performance videos … you can do that here:
